CYaBro:
RGP: I've installed a few of these - have had no problem with them. No EPG but hey, for $30 they're good value and can be hidden behind the tv, great for a wall mounted flatscreen.

What about remote control to change channels, how does that work?

It would have a separate remote. I assume the IR sensor is in the unit, so the unit would need to have line of sight from the front of hte TV in order to use the remote. Not unless it is has a plug in IR receiver, but I think not at that price.

trig42: ...Do they get the EPG? Doesn't say anything about it in the TM listing.
No EPG. For our intended use it is no big deal - IE. as backup for to DVB-T and also in our motorhome.
We still subscribe to TV Guide.

CYaBro: What about remote control to change channels, how does that work?
They have a separate IR forward facing sensor on a plug-in lead about 1M long. I attach using the provided adhesive pad somewhere suitable on the bottom of the TV. The receiver is out of sight Velcro(ed) on the rear of the TVs.

Thanks to all for their insights about this matter.
I have order a couple of cheapo boxes which seem an economical solution for secondary TVs
