Heatsinks made much of a difference? Ive found since sticking mine on top of a fan its running much better. No wifi dropping, only the occasional flash and audio glitch. Nothing like it was before.

I have been running my SmartVu for over 4 hrs today - No problems so far.

The heatsinks are pretty hot by the touch test. Can't really say if the heatsinks are pulling the heat out from the best place.

Time will tell.

The current indicates that the SmartVu is dissipating between 1.1 and 2.5 watts... mostly at the high end.... quite high for such a small package

The weather is quite cold at the moment. I do wonder how it will cope in the summer, as it does feel hot when in use. I do wonder why they needed to make it so small, as I was expecting something larger.

Oo this looks good and may meet my needs. Currently running plex/netflix on a roku 4. Freeview on sat but rainfade is annoying in winter.

Got vdsl and ufb coming in a week or so.

How kid friendly is it to use. I have never used android. I have an old 1080p plasma fed by a sony amp. Can this unit plug into the amp?

Are they still keeping it updates. Is live tv streams improved or still 480p for tv3?

Anyone got a work around to get nz prime channel working on it?

Dont mind paying for something better if it is out there. Just need tv/plex and netflix

It is really like a TV remote control - you don't have to learn anything much different than your sat receiver probably.

Ive plugged one of these into mine: 4in1 Micro USB Adapter So far its working fine. Using my airmouse via it. Plugging in my USB hard drive does cause it to reboot everything though. No reason you cant plug in a USB ethernet adapter in there. I had already tried my one from my Chromecast and it detected fine, just didnt have any spare lan cables to test it completely with!

I'm using this one https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33005383629.html works perfect for me, in case you want to try it, use 3 exactly same cables to avoid conflicts.
