Hi Customers

We are going to fix the aspect ratio issue when you cast media files to the T2200, this has been an issue since launch and we are pushing to get a lot of the Media Sharing features fixed, once the update is rolled out with this fix I will let you know here and on the Changelogs

I set my machine to record Jonathan Phangs Gourmet Trains, deliberately choosing the 6am timeslot on Choice (confirmed in the schedule) instead of the prime time slot. I then set Deadline Gallipoli to record on Prime at 8:30 pm. Now, if I want to record X Files on TV2 also at 8:30pm. I should be able to, right? I mean its a separate Mux? But it won't let me because it thinks that Gourmet Trains will conflict. How can I get around that?

I would single book the Choice TV show at the 6am slot then make the booking for the movie then Prime TV.

So if two of those were scheduled recordings you are suggesting we undo a schedule ..book a movie the redo the schedule as a work around also ?

Unfortunately, all of those are series, not movies (X Files is the new series about to start). But luckily Deadline Gallipoli is a mini series so I guess I can single book Jonathan Phang for a few weeks until I get past that. It does seem like a bit of a flaw though, that if I choose to schedule a series at one particular time, all other time slots where that series gets replayed are also then blocked out and effectively unavailable, even if it's not actually going to record then. Makes the +1 channels somewhat less useful and you really should have the option of not letting it do that. The old MagicTV let you prioritise the conflicting recordings which I guess was their way of getting you around it.

Surely that is why software was invented , to cope with these tasks? I like that suggestion of replicating the mtv3600 way of coping too. I also worked out I'm well behind on my TV watching .

Just another request to fix the Freeview Plus EPG.

Please, can there be a setting to automatically always (re)-enable the Freeview Plus guide (which would also turn off the on screen notice that we should push the red button.  The notice for the green button is already within the EPG, so it would also be no longer needed). This would be 10 times nicer...

Also just another request for being able to record a series from the Freeview Plus guide...

Many thanks in advance. This is otherwise a truely excellent box.

Please email Freeview, we don't touch any of the FreeviewPlus features.

The FreeviewPlus mini guide is now back after you change the channel, the UI has been adjusted so there is no lag with the T2200 unit, If you are having issues with the Mini Guide an the T2200 please let us know, (If you are annoyed about it because its there please send feedback to Freeview)

I understand, but perhaps you could just provide an OSD option that enables the FreeviewPlus mini guide automatically?  The other request (regarding series recording), i'll make with FreeView.

So luckily I was able to work around my issue by cancelling Jonathan Phang, booking X Files and then rebooking Jonathan Phang again. It let me do all bookings as series link rather than one-offs, so that's a relief. Still a hassle though that the software can't figure out that there was never actually a clash there. That's going to be a pain when the new season starts in earnest and I'm booking a lot of stuff, having to cancel and work around the schedule conflicts instead of the box doing it for me.
