I have done a complete reset, deleted all settings, channel data, everything in the var folder (couldn't get rid of the lib folder inside, but it is empty). Rescanned all the channels again with tuners on loop through. Running 2.10.54. Been going for two days with no recording of wrong channel yet. Fingers crossed. Did have a couple of issues with adding time before and after recordings, but seem to have sorted that now.
I have had same issue. I have seen it occur on both recorded shows as well as while just watching tv. ly Change channel to TV1 and i'll be watching Cue despite it saying TV1 and epg data relating to TV1.
Currently using 2.10.11
Where can I download latest firmware?
Have had mine running OK for the last couple of weeks now. Not 100% sure exactly what fixed it but it was either deleting everything in the /var folder (you may want to start with that) and/or deleting all channels and settings and setting it up again from scratch (which I think was the thing that sorted it). I got hold of firmware 2.10.57. The device now thinks it is an Octagon as the firmware hasn't been written as an ultraplus but hey, it seems to work now. I'm reasonably tech savvy and managed the setup ok, though I did find it a bit of a mission as there was no Optus D1 satellite listed and so I had to find the settings online and create it. Then stuffed around trying to get channels in the correct order.
I haven't tried updating it to 2.10.67. I'm still running on 2.10.54 (not 57 as mentioned above) and i am not sure what changes they have made between versions. I am usually hesitant to change firmware unless I can see a big advantage in added features/bug fixes I am interested in. You may need to make sure that the reseller code is changed or the octagon firmware? The version I was given had the code changed (but it still loads up as an octagon instead of an ultraplus).

To all UltraPlus X-9200HD users , Please don't use version 210.11 if you have any issue with channels recording . Freeview NZ has changed their channls PID's aready 3 times since we published version 210.11 . We are selling our product sine few month with S/W version 210.29 which supports series link and other new options and it is working fine so far . Now we supplying these with version 210.67 (RSS feed) . If any user needs an update please contact us as we don't publish our S/W in any forum. I have noticed that some people interfere is this forum even they don't have the set but like to attack us again however, we will support all our customers with new updates if needed. I think it is time to close this chapter for now as I will only answer questions through e-mails. Cheers
Sorry to open this thread again, but just an update on the issue.
We never got to the bottom of the problem (the STB recording the correct PID, but from the wrong transponder). We had 2 Ultraplus boxes with the same issue, and eventually sent it back and replaced it with a Vu+ Duo. A great machine - just not full 1080 output like the Ultraplus unfortunately.
He is the really weird thing.... The new box (completely different brand) occasionally does the same thing. Every few weeks it will record the correct PID but the wrong transponder!!!!! It isn't nearly as bad as the Ultraplus, and will fix itself after the recording without having to be reset.
We have replaced the STB, the LNB (which had cracked anyway) and had bought a new TV over that time. The only part of the system that is the same is a stretch of cable in the wall and the satellite dish (and me).
I am completely stumped and am now just putting up with the issue (and catching a programme On Demand if it doesn't record). I can't for the life of me figure out why every now and then it record the wrong transponder.
Any insights welcomed - but doesn't look like it was the Ultraplus at all.
I've owned a couple of Ultra-plus units. My number two complaint is firmware, my number one was some channels where glitchy while all my other's work fine.
They look really nice feature set wise, but I personally think they the are the units I've wasted the most time on with frustrations. I've since gone Strong and haven't looked back.
To the original poster. I have an X-9200 and once experienced a similar problem to yours and through a process of elimination discovered there was a fault in my DISEqC switch. I found C1 signals were appearing on my D1 channel list but no one else could see them!
Cheers for the advice. I have had another look at the system and there is no DISEqC switch in the setup - just the LNB on the dish with a cable direct to the set top box. That is the bit I find really weird about the whole thing. New LNB and new set top box, but still the same issue with occasionally recording the wrong transponder signal. It has me (and everyone else I have asked about it) stumped. Honestly, I now just put up with the fact that every few weeks I will miss a programme because it recorded CUE instead of the one it should have. If anyone does have further suggestions I am all ears.
