Apsattv:

The source distribution feed on Intelsat 19 Cband, have been added since last week The Gusto TV and Gusto TV+1 changed named to Eden and they added Rush TV  today also.

I can't scan Optus D1 to see if they are up yet. As my gear is packed away for my house move.

No changes on Optus D1 yet, which isn't really a surprise as there isn't any spare Kordia capacity for the channel changes.

Likewise no updates to DTT yet. I'd expect to see some DTT changes around 5-7 days out based on previous channel updates.

cb1: Further info at https://www.screenscribe.net/eden-and-rush-to-launch-on-march-21/

Looks like a revamp of Freeview's virtual channel order is happening too.

From that article, I can glean the lineup from 1-19 looking like this on 21 March:

1 - TVNZ 1 (HD)
2 - TVNZ 2 (HD)
3 - Three (HD)
4 - ?? (Currently Bravo - SD)
5 - ?? (Currently Maori TV - HD)
6 - ??
7 - ??
8 - Eden (HD) - NEW (was Three +1 in SD)
9 - ??
10 - ?? (Currently Prime - HD)
11 - ?? (Was Edge TV SD before 21 March - that channel closed)
12 - ?? (Was Choice TV SD before 21 March - that channel closed)
13 - Three + 1 (SD) (was TVNZ Duke - HD, so flipped from TVNZ to Discovery)
14 - Rush (SD)
15 - ?? (Currently Te Reo HD)
16 - ?? (Currently AL Jazeera SD)
17 - ?? (Currently HGTV SD)
18 - Eden +1 (SD) (was TVNZ Duke +1 - SD, so flipped from TVNZ to Discovery)
19 - HGTV (SD)

Not sure at this stage where Duke and the TVNZ +1 channels will go, and if som of 5he other incumbents - especially Prime - will stay put (10 is too high a number for Prime surely??), but it's a glimpse. I'm hoping Duke ends up at 6 or 7, and the +1 channels move to 11, 12 (1 and 2) and 16 or 17 (for Duke) so they make more sense and move real-time channels into the top 10, and timeshift channels away into positions 11-19.

Was hopping they'd get rid of the useless +1 channels.

I don't mind them, from time to time I might use them to catch something an hour later.. but in these days of "on demand", they're just kinda handy to have rather than essential.. and so long as there's space to spare for them, I guess it's something.

Hopefully they all get moved to 11+ and the non-timeshift channels get spots 1-10... and logically numbered too (eg TVNZ 1 on 1, TVNZ 1 + 1 on 11 etc)

That would make a lot of sense, and we'd probably see Duke move down to a lower number like 6 or 7.

Yeah - it'd make the "real time" channels together in a handy bunch, make their timeshifted counterparts logical.

Given that TVNZ are moving Duke from 13 to allow Three +1 to use that number, I think it's a fair bet that Discovery NZ will let TVNZ use 11 (Edge) and 12 (Choice) for TVNZ 1 & 2 +1.

Oh dear.. they dropped the ball on TVNZ 2 + 1, and Bravo +1... I really wish they'd put those on 12 and 14, and keep 1-10 as much as possible for non-timeshift channels

Bit of a shame, but I imagine TVNZ was keen to keep channel 7, and with nothing else from them to put on it, might as well leave it as TVNZ 2+1.

I suspect TVNZ are hanging on to virtual channel 7 so they can put any new channel (resulting from the TVNZ/RNZ merger) there.

Long term, I think TVNZ will have 1, 2, 6 (Duke), 7 (New channel - public service maybe?), 11 (1 timeshifted), 12 (2 timeshifted) - and only have 1 and 2 with timeshifted channels.

Heeeeey.. 1, 2, 6, 7 - that sounds kinda familiar..... ;)

Inital placeholder is up for Eden+1 on Optus D1 using the same Sky transponder as Prime and Duke+1 (12519 H)
