rugrat: Don't watch everyday, but tvnz channels flawless last night, over a few hours.
There was 1 blip on medium on TV3.
Didn't watch anything last night but on wednesday I parked up and watched 2 & a 1/2 men, scrubs, lost, chuck and sarah connor chronicles and didn't have any problems at all. Hopefully TVNZ have sorted their sh#t and there won't be anymore picture problems.
Marmion: There were several blips on my tv watching Breakfast on TV1 this morning around 7.35-7.55
Notice a few though Rove again as well.. Does not seem to be fixed yet.

I have heard that TVNZ are adding more channels (or something along those lines) and thus there is less bandwidth left... DVB-S is only MPEG2 and the compression methods/alogrithyms whilst adaptive arent really that flash, so if there is lots of action on multiple TVNZ channel at the same time, we end up seeing the blocks.... Like everybody else in this thread Im am extremely disapointed, especially when the quality used to be so good. Its making me move to DVB-T ASAP. The pixelation is terrible....
This thread is concerning DVB-T. Different issue to the DVB-S where it is not that they are trying to add more channels but rather they have gone back to having regional ads. which means they have to break the feeds up.

So DVB-T is having regionalised adds (as they have regionalised transmitters), then whats the deal with DVB-S, why has that become so poor/pixelated. Anyway I guess thats a different thread... Might be back to downloading TV shows given that DVB-T is poor also...
