Over the last couple of nights I've been having issues with the bottom half of my screen freezing and distorting for a few seconds every half hour or so. I've got a Draco HDTV5500 and live in North Canterbury and haven't had any issues like this before. Anyone got any ideas what this could be???

Same here Christchurch in city area, during lost and chuck last night. Bottom third screen justs goes to rainbow of colours like a graphics card gone bad. Not just me then, Equipment zinwell decoder, so on free view certified device as well.

Glad it's not just me. Was really bad during Lost for me.
Spoke to Glenn at DBNZ (where I got my decoder) and he said they've been similar issues up north with the Sommett and Sony ota uprades causing havoc with other brand decoders. He suggested turn off at the wall over night and if that didn't work to do a factory reset and rescan of the channels.

Anyone still got this problem?
I turned my decoder off overnight at the wall and did a factory reset over the weekend. I'm still getting a distorted pic but it's less frequent now, maybe once an hour and only on TV2.

I am still getting this issue with a Sony built in DVB-T in Christchurch. In addition the Bravia digital tuner is taking over a minute to kick in after turning TV on (http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=83&topicid=32079). I thought the 2 problems might be related, but maybe not.

My bottom half of the screen started distorting, only started within the last week though. Have not taken note of what channel it is on at the time.

Another odd thing..... my EPG button just stops working, turn off the zinwell and then back on it starts to work again!!!!

Yip, same down here in Dunedin. I am using a Hyundai AH-3110, and have also noticed it on my HP DVB-T tuner on MCE. Thought it was just me too.

Is this what you are experiencing?

Wondering if it was the TVNZ stream or my graphics card.

I have only seen it happen on TV2.

Yip, that's it and it only seems to be on TV2. It doesn't seem to be happening as often now, I only noticed it a couple of times last night.

Yep I've been noticing it too, I'm in central Christchurch. Using a DVB-T card in a HTPC, I'd rebuilt it a couple of weeks ago so I thought it might be a problem with my codecs!

Awesome, so it's not my video hard/other hardware :D

Just a note that i'm in Tauranga, most of you others which are having the same problem seem to be in ChCh or Dunedin.
