PRIME HD will be added to the Freeview Streaming Service from Friday 6th December

Not before time.  Do we know if their on-demand service will be accessible via Freeview's on-demand platform via DishTV's devices or will it remain within Sky's control?

I got my unit today, set it up with Netflix, Disney+ and Freeview, etc. but there is NO Prime in the EPG.  Manually checked for updates and nothing.

But it DOES show in the Guide at https://freeviewnz.tv/tvguide/whats-on/

How would I get for the stream used? Wireshark or something?

Whilst we wait to hear about Prime, I have three questions:

1) Anyone get Kodi working on the SmartVu with the APSattv streams?
2) Anyone tried any games from the Play Store?
3) Anyone tried adding a PS4 controller to play games?

Ok I have a smartvu unit in my sons bedroom.

No prime channel on the Freeview feed as yet. No skygo option on play store either.

Ran the system update check and no update available.

1. APSatttv (kiwitv2) streams work perfectly in Kodi 18.5 on my SmartVU, MiBox 3 and MiBox S boxes including Prime. Just checked.

There is a discussion on Prime in the SKY sub-forum.

The Warehouse currently has the SmartVU on sale at $99. I was thinking of getting one as our UHF aerial / wiring is a bit flakey and we sometimes get disruptions, especially on Prime, so replacing the whole terrestrial TV with a SmartVU would probably work out cheaper than getting someone in to try to fix the aerial.

I haven't read this whole thread but noticed someone talking about this unit overheating. Is that still a problem or has the hardware been revised since the initial launch to fix this? Any other problems I should be aware of?
