Other than the twin tuners and built in Hdd in the T2200 are there any other features/benefits over the T2100?

When is the T2200 going to be official in stock? Keen to get one myself.

Is the MTV3700TD going to support FreeviewPlus? as thats another option.

The T2200 software allows features to be added overtime. Some features that may be of interest to you are:

Live Streaming
You can mirror the current channel you have on your T2200 to a HTML streaming device or software like VLC or Kodi over your local networking using the T2200 IP Address followed by :8080
Very Handy for distributing the channel to another TV screen without any cables.

Web Remote
We are working on an App that allows you to use your smartphone, tablet or computer to control the T2200 receiver over the local network, we have a manual browser based web remote available just enter in the T2200 IP Address into any browser. Ideal if you have relocated the unit in another room or have completed a setup without IR sensors to control remote actions.

User Interface
The user interface is more appealing to the customer, with a simple, well designed layout makes navigating easy and the user can change the UI theme between Green and Fuchsia

Media Sharing with DLNA
The T2200 can be used as a media server that can retrieve media on a shared computer on the network or use the computer to "Cast" content to the receiver. If you have a media sharing app on your smart device you can cast content that way as well, this saves connecting a USB or cable to show Photos, Videos or listen to music with full controls on the remote.

Windows 7 / 8.1: Casting to the device is via Play to
Windows 10: Right click content then select Cast to Device

These features are the same with the S8200

No, as the unit doesn't have HbbTV which delivers FreeviewPlus

Are there any plans to open the T2100 to read fat or ntfs (not ext4) file systems. All my other set top boxes can play movies or show pics from a USB memory stick. I was disappionted to find my new T2100 couldn't

I'll flick this through the development team, not anytime soon Lester but future development may allow us to open up file formats

Hi I'm looking to upgrade from an old pvr unit that has buffering issues off the hdd. It starts recording fine but when the drive has about 100gb on it glitches occur. It's using a portable USB powered drive USB 2.0 . is the t2100 USB 3.0? And would a USB 2 drive have problems recording 1080? The drive is only 2 to 3 years old

The T2100 ports are USB 2.0 but most 3.0 hard drives are backwards compatible and should work fine.
The Hard drives are speed tested once plugged in for the first time and you will see the status of this test on the screen itself, it will notify you if it's all good for the T2100 or if you might experience any issues if you continue to use it. There should be no glitches with the playback on the T2100 with USB PVR.

Any fresh ideas on the best base model to use for the logitec remote ? Quite liking theT2200 so far , screen mirror via :8080 is a bit choppy but OK
i wish the guides were all in one place but it not bad for the first day , good bye modded MTV3600 , although still going strong

Got a 2100 at harveys for $128 for the garage since when I use the inbuilt TV tuners there is usually a bit of lag between them which is SO ANNOYING.

UI is pretty average, and I have it doesnt seem to work with HDMI resolution changing depending on what the channel is, so I have to have its sub-par deinterlacing and then reinterlacing it to 1080i50 on the SD channels which is really bad looking with massive combing sometimes.

Setting it myself makes it do SD to the TV which does a much better job, but then the HD channels are all downscaled - again with many combing artifacts. Mind you the SD on freeview is so bad that some combing is the least of the worries.

Also, no dual band wifi. :( tried watching the block on it over wifi and it was a bit stuttery and really bad looking. Going to a cat5 and it was less bad looking.
