I’ve rescanned three times. Nothing has changed yet.

I rescanned just before 6 this morning and got all the new channels. Rush is also in HD now?

I get Rush and Eden in HD but my TVs info display varies...

My Samsung and Sony show Eden + Rush as 1080i HDTV

My Panasonic has nothing for Eden, HDTV for Rush.

Spyware:

VTV versions of both will be SD I presume. I hope Rush stays as HD on terrestrial. I don't watch SD channels anyway.

No, they are in HD.

Wheelbarrow01:

Just on this - we have a couple of SmartVU devices and when we first got them I noticed that we don't get HGTV on either of them. I'm not sure if any other channels are also missing as we generally stick to the main ones, however the wife was annoyed at losing HGTV when we switched from satellite SD (previously our only option).

Is this just an 'us' issue, or does everyone using SmartVU also miss out on some channels?

No HGTV channel on SmartVu here either.  My wife resorts to streaming her HGTV shows from ThreeNow

From Sugarloaf, Rush in HD on 14 (Discovery mux). Eden not found.

I got Eden on channel 8 in Christchurch.

Had to rescan for channels to come up on a 2014 LG TV, but the 2020 one seemed to get them without rescanning.

Had to manually rescan my Panasonic TV Viera TH-L50E6Z and Panasonic Blu-ray PVR DMR-BWT835.

Then had to reprogram all my weekly PVR recordings ☹️

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

Yeah, I remember that being an issue when I had to rescan Mum's PVR last time something changed :(

Yeah I do find it a bit strange that ThreeNow also doesn't have an HGTV livestream. Previously I just assumed it must be some holdover from the days when the operations were seperate, but surely they must be pretty linked up now. I also doubt it's a licensing issue, since many HGTV shows are now spread across other Discovery channels. Just a weird choice. I do wonder if HGTV's days are numbered, especially since it's been shunted down the end of the numbering system.

I clearly picked the wrong night to do a channel scan on my Samsung tv. The weather here in Christchurch is pretty atrocious with driving wind and rain, and the TV can only find 5 digital terrestrial channels - HGTV, Al Jazeera, Shine, Hope and RNZ - not a single mainstream channel available lol.

Not really a drama as I have Sky, but I just wanted to see what they looked like really.

For anyone looking for the IPTV feeds for EdgeTV and BreezeTV

These are currently rated upto 720p, although most of the videos on Breeze aren't scaling up to that very well.

Older Panasonic plasma (vt) doesn't seem to want to acknowledge the EIT guide on Rush.

Mheg5 is fine. But who uses that :p

Restoring TV channels after 21/3/22 – HELP!

Since the TV channel changes on 21/3/22, I have completely lost TV1 + 1 on my Sony Model 40CX520 digital TV.  It used to be on channel 11, but now I get an error message "This programme number is not available".  The Freeview app still says it's there but it doesn't appear on my TV.

I've gone through my TV manual repeatedly but the instructions are VERY muddled and unhelpful.

Can anyone guide me, gently and patiently, through simple step by step instructions on how to recover this channel.  I'm not stupid (I used to teach computing) but this is bizarre and frustrating. Thanks in advance.
