Thanks. No idea how to add 12530 though. I watched a scan and it did 12528 then 12532. I'll try their forums I think...

Although the signal "strength" is at 100, the signal "level" is 41. Might that indicate I'm succumbing to the "wonky satellite" issues? Or is it more likely that my LNB's dying?
I think my LNB might be shot. The signal level is now at double what it used to be, but the only channel it finds is a Sky test one with colour bars and a bouncing box. Although it subsequently managed to lose even that, giving a "no signal" message.
Edit: Or the dish has gone out of alignment.

just some basics here, roughly put signal strength is signal + noise. while signal level is just signal. so if you turn it you can increase the amount of noise you pick up and reduce the amount of signal. so signal strength goes up but signal level goes down and you have no pic.
You are on 156E thats where the colour bars are.
Should be 160, right? So, dish out of alignment?
It's currently on "Auto". I'll have a play after dinner.
I'm sorry that this technical thread has turned into my personal troubleshooting thread though!
Edit: Success! The trick was to set LNB Type to "09750/10750" instead of just 10750. This enabled the previously-stuck-on-Auto 22 kHz setting, which I set to Off as advised. It also now doesn't need DiSEqC enabled. I did a rescan with those settings and it found 25 channels (I haven't checked to see whether that's all of them, but it sounds about right). [Yep, that's the lot.]
Now to shelve the whole thing until HD broadcasts start :)
Can anyone advise the TP frequency that Sky Open is now on?
Sky Open is on 12410 H
Well, using our newish DishTV Sat1 box, it has automatically switched over to the new satellite using the transponders:
12456/H/22500 14 Services
12483/H/22500 8 Services
12530/H/30000 4 Services
12394/H/22500 0 Services
All the channels are there without having to do any manual work. Looks like the signal strength has increased from about 80% to high 90s.
Those two posts seem to contradict each other. I think Sky Open is on 12530.
Yep, it is 12530/H/30000
Sorry but i thought there was 2 copys of Sky Open
Ill reconfirm
yes 12530H the FTA feed of Sky Open
My mum rang me in a panic to say her freeview was not working. Did some digging and found the freeview update notice happening today.
My mum has the freeview box S7070r. Currently has no strength or quality showing, both 0%.
I've tried re-tuning, tried the cold re-tune, both nothing.
Do we have to buy a new freeview box?
Any help much appreciated.

DVB-S only box so I'm afraid you'll have to upgrade
