Are there any plans to add a Youtube app to this tuner?

Are there any plans to add the ability to watch IPTV in the future?

No to YouTube as they do not support the use on the platform and No to IPTV but can be something we can look into in the future

Need, maybe not, but with twin sat tuners, on demand, netflixs, youtube, iptv all that would be needed is DLNA and I'd never have to plug my laptop into my TV again (which while having an excellent picture quality, is rather old and limited in it's functions).

Yes, I am looking for the one STB to rule them all.

Sadly I just heard from Dish  The S8200 is currently only a DlNA client and does not share its own video files to other devices

$400 and it doesn't even do THAT.   Hugely disappointing, but the unit does seem to have potential and if Dish keep improving it...  let's hope.

It will stream content fom other devices though.

Josh,

The T2200 looks very similar to the S8200 (Chassis wise), can one assume that once the T2200 has on-demand sign off the same will go for the S8200?

Bought one of these on Wednesday and set it up that night. Very easy setup, only issue was working out I had the choose to change the WiFi password to be able to enter it in the first place LOL.

Nice interface, easy to use.

We are going to use it, along with Netflix, Lightbox and maybe something else, to replace MySky so it would be useful if those apps made it onto the satBox when the apps do appear :)

I happy that it picked up the freeview channels from the Sky dish... hoping Sky don't ask for it back when I cancel  wink

Have noticed several times the top and bottom banners, after f/forward will stick instead of usually disappearing.
You need to press the info button a couple of times.
