Hi,
I have a similar question, I am running Vista Ultimate with a Hauppauge 150 card. I have a sky box plugged into the rca plugs on the card & an aerial feed into that plug.

I can scan services suceesfully to watch shy through the RCA jacks and I can also scan channels to watch TV through the aerial. Only problem is I cannot have both set up at once.

They both work fine but I dont want to have to scan again each time I want to change, surely because they both work independantly I can have them both set up??

I realise I wont be able to watch and record seperately as it is only a single tuner but I want to be able to watch either with a click of my remote button. I think I might need a registry tweak.

I want to add a DVB-S card in the future but want to try & work this out first.

Any ideas???

Officially Microsoft MCE does not support DVB-S still. Also officially MCE (including vista MC) does not support Analog (Composite or S-Video included) input and DVB-T at the same time. There are registry "hacks" or patches as some may call them that allow the co-existance of analog and digital (so earlier in this thread).

Not sure of one that allows you to tune your analog TV and still use the AV Input on the card at the same time though, I have never experimented with that. Officially it is unsupported on a singel tuner situation, but it may be able to be done with a registry patch. I'll look into it and post if I find anything.

Finally got round to getting a new motherboard and cpu for my rig yesterday (it's been out of action for about 4 months). Had a painless build and install, and managed to get saturn working on my hauppauge pvr150 mce card within about ten minutes. The guide is all up to date, except for the Discovery Travel channel - but we only watch that at 5:30 and 10:30 for Miami Ink and LA Ink :)

There's a HVR3000 card in there as well which I haven't touched, except to install the drivers. Hopefully I'll get time over the weekend to run a cable from the sky dish down to the lounge (my flatmate used to install sky and cable tv so he's gonna give me a hand, and he's already got freeview via a decoder in his room so we know its all working) and then I'll give this guide a go and see what happens. Exciting, i really missed playing around with my htpc!

Thanks adder. I'm sure it can be done I just need to figure out how to edit the channels manually, do you know where scanned channel information is saved? is it in the registry or a file somewhere? Was hoping someone had already done it & could point me in the right direction.

It's suddenly just hit me. If I want to watch Sky and Freeview SD feeds off the same satellite dish at the same time, do I need a dual LNB attached to my Sky dish? One of these below:
