Had a look at your stream URLs.
SD Stream is 640x368
HD Stream is 480x270
Something a bit odd there. How did you grab the stream URLs?

not sure where your getting that HD stream figure from it should be 720p at around 2.5mbit bitrate
Its launching on channel 23 on Sky also, nothing in their EPG yet
Thanks for the links - watched a bit of their promo reel via the TV Streams app on AppleTV 4. I'd be more excited if I hadn't already watched all of Brooklyn Nine-Nine. If you've not seen it yet, you're in for a treat.

I have just done scans on DVB-T and DVB-S and I can now see Duke available. It has replaced TVNZ PopUp on channel 13 in both cases, with the service ID changing from 1204 to 1205 on DVB-T and from 1903 to 1904 on DVB-S. It does not seem to be present on Sky yet - it is supposed to be channel 23 there. Now I am off to see what its EPG says.
from what i can see it starts at 6 each night till around 12-1am?

I've got it on Sky now. Channel 23, just on an old standard Sky box (not MySky, or one of the new upgraded boxes).
Odd that they're launching with a 6pm to midnight schedule only.. I suppose the hours will widen once they pick up more advertising.
It's great that they have a live stream like that. Wish they would do it to TV2 etc, or make TVNZOD like BBC iplayer where you can watch the show as it is broadcast on tv without having to wait for it to finish

Apparently feedback for a primetime channel was strong. It'll be supplemented by sport outside those hours - as per the Popup 13's previous (existing?) sports lineup.

Ahhh the irony. Other poster on GZ decry the concept of livestreamed channels in the current age of ondemand streaming.
Who knew that some people would like a live streamed product.

and even better, be able to live stream rewind back a few hours so you can start at the start of the show. I think the BBC iPlayer model is genius through they are heavily supported by the TV License.

True, just struck me as odd to see a channel with such a big "downtime" each day.
I guess it leaves plenty of scope for marathons of shows they have, if there's nothing else scheduled & there's no live sport to carry :-)
Not odd, just look at pay tv, its mostly done in 6 to 8 hours programming blocks with the content recycled throughout the day. I wonder if we will see the goodnight kiwi at the listed "closedown" time.

Wonder if it will be HD on Sky. Pity it doesn't seem to be HD on FV OTA..
