Looks like mediaworks want their own version of E!

Isn't this the NBC collab known as "Bravo"?

The content sounds like life-wasting rubbish.

Quote "Mediaworks' under-fire chief executive Mark Weldon says New Zealand is "very low" in broadcast hours for reality television"

I agree, although my context does differ somewhat!

Does that mean that he thinks very low is a bad thing?

I hope not. Low in volume is good. I think reality TV is a really really good idea, but its been taken over by scripting, so its not reality TV any more. Its "lets  do summit that the viewers will latch onto " TV. So its fiction TV now. Fiction TV is great, we love X Files for example. But TV thats purported to be reality thats in fact fiction is painful.

Maybe it's just not up on our Transmitter yet, (in Whangarei)

It should be up on your Parihaka Transmitter, what kind of device do you have?

Anyone disappointed that Mediaworks has not launched their 2nd HD channel?

Seems pointless launching another HD channel if the content is rubbish and be like the rest of the rubbish on Freebies. We have a TV in our bedroom that has onboard Freebies HD, that TV has not been turned on for circa twelve months.

A world that has gone totally insane.

Panasonic VT30 TV, VT60 TV, DMR-PWT550GZ Recorder. Just checked again this morning and all appear to have auto updated overnight.... not that I'm at all interested in Bravo... but my wife may be!

I was scrolling through the Freeview EPG and paused to look at the new Mediaworks master piece, I think they have the wrong name for it. 'Crapo' would be more appropriate and would reflect the connect more accurately. In the name of Loki's luffa who decided

that this channel would be viable?

Someone with knowledge of what the content costs and what they can sell advertising in it for would be my guess. It is hugely popular.

Not too many that frequent these boards I suggest. There will be a lot that do watch it though...
