Any update on when other streaming apps (Netflix etc.) may be available?

i would say not for a while. they need to concentrate on fixing the current issues instead of making new ones with new apps

Jase is right, we are prioritising to improve usability for the current units at the moment, Netflix runs on a strict model on where it's apps can be accessed and its a discussion for studios as well, contact Netflix and request compatibility for our models, however never say never we might just surprise you.

Hi, I just bought a T2100 today to replace my 500GB T1050 Dual tuner box - we hardly use dual recording and find we watch a lot more TVondemand so thought this new unit would be ideal, but having trouble with the wifi:

It connects perfectly fine when my router is broadcasting its SSID, but when I disable the SSID broadcast, even manually inputting the SSID into the T2100 it still can't find my router. Is this a known issue?

I will test this on my unit and will let the team look into it this week and will get back with you.

any update on this?

Thanks for saying you would "look into this and get back to me", but never actually doing it... :(

Hi

I didn't receive any return on reply from our Hamilton team about the hidden SSID feature, after testing this out on my own devices the, upon entering the password and confirming the error message pops up saying it cannot connect.

I don't know if I'm the only one, but I'm very disappointed with the performance of this box.

Had it for a couple of months now and endless problems with the PVR function.  Using a quality 16 GB pen drive to pause tv (not even record) and when catching up the playback is jumpy and sound out of sync.  Tried several different pen drives all with similar results, even reformatted one only to be told it didn't meet the speed requirements even though it did before!  Also the TV on demand playback is quite laggy, and that is with a wired 100/20 fibre connection!  The box has also turned itself off a couple of times, and un-muted itself at least twice.  Even after two full resets and a software update the problems remain.

I will be returning this box to the retailer for a refund as the box doesn't perform as expected (it should) and I don't believe the device is worth the $170 we paid.

Guess I'll have to resort to watching TV on demand on my laptop and will be getting an alternative freeview PVR in the near future.

I could be wrong but my general impression is that it is not recommended to use a pen drive with such devices that requires a USB input to record on, but rather to use an external drive with its own power source. Maybe that will produce consistently better results.

I have had to remove the T2100 from my mix of devices. Even just in standby mode, without being hooked up with an aerial, it has been causing intermittent pixilation, mainly on the channel 32 frequency of stations. The problem has disappeared since pulling the plug on the thing. Now, why is this?

Without the T2100 hooked up, there still small defects in the picture, particularly channel 32, and particularly Bravo which I don't care very much about.

The original power adapter which came with it (1000amp) made things worse but lowering it to a 500amp has stopped this. However, it is possible whatever aerial or cable defect has caused my problem, if this is fixed, then I may be able to return to the 1000amp without any problem.

In summary, it is not so much that the T2100 caused an issue but rather magnified an issue that was already there.

Has anyone else experienced audio glitches with this box? We've been getting some clicks in the audio - no picture distortion though.

We had an aerial professionally installed recently, and there's no problems with reception on our Sony TV, whether it's plugged directly into the aerial cable or fed from the T2100 aerial output. Also no reception problems with the signal on a USB DVB-T dongle plugged into the laptop. The T2100 shows signal strength of 59% and quality of 93%.

I've tried switching the HDMI cable to the TV in case that was the problem, and a factory reset of the T2100 - not sure if there's anything else worth checking?

I have just had an automatic software update and now the APP button just gives a blank screen. Anyone else getting this problem?

Ok so I was having problems with firmware version 1.30 - the main problem is when pressing the freeview epg button, the inbuilt epg would pop up behind the freeview epg so when moving up and down the cursor would not register on the freeview epg. To get around this, i would have to press ok then the inbuilt epg would show a list of programs. I would then have to press down/up to scroll through the inbuilt epg.

This problem seems to have been fixed in version 1.32 firmware which i applied via usb. the only problem now is that the device automatically updates the 1.32 firmware with the older 1.30 firmware which is on the https://auond.dishtv.co.nz server.

I have turned off the allow for software update option, turned off the network software update on boot but it still automatically updated the old firmware over the new. Can somebody tell me how to edit the software update server url field (its currently greyed out). I would like to turn off the network update feature.

I'm very happy with this box -the freeview epg is amazing and eveything is working very good except for the firmware updating issue.

I understand why possibly you havent pushed the 1.32 update to the network update servers for auto update but please let us turn off the network update. Or else, fix the version check so that 1.32 does not get over written with an older 1.30 update.

Im in australia btw.
