The TVWorks mux has some very odd settings at the moment which might explain your issues.

Generally known online as OpenMedia, now working for Red Hat APAC as a Technology Evangelist and Portfolio Architect. Still playing with MythTV and digital media on the side.

Mediaworks MUX has been constantly up and down for the last two days. I'm now also not getting any audio on maori tv.

I am now using Cyberlink with GB-PVR and am getting good results with the Kordia and Mediaworks channels.

But I can't get the TVNZ channels to tune in. I created a DVB-t config and it seems to scan 538MHz but finds nothing:

[TERTYPE]
1=New Zealand
2=All Channels

[DVB]
;Position = Channelname,Frequency(KHz),Inversion(0,1),0,Bandwidth (7MHz=1, 8MHz=2)

Can someone show me the error of my ways please?

PVR: Intel E8400 3.0GHz, MSI 945GCM5, 2GB RAM, MSI 8500GT HDMI, Hauppauge HVR3000, Philips 47pfl9532, MediaPortal RC2

In Wellington the TVNZ MUX is 'hidden' (not transmitting any NIT tables) so GB-PVR can't pick it up, I am guessing the same may be occuring in Auckland. DVBViewer picks up the signal OK.

So will I be able to pick up the Freeview HD DTT transmissions with a Sky UHF only aerial that I have already on my roof doing nothing?

Yes - Providing it's aimed at a a site that is/will be broadcasting a DVB-T signal.

My mate who has a cardbus dvb-t/analog on his laptop gets a lock with nothing plugged in at all, and thats only enough to deliver a bad snowey picture on triangle with occasional colour and not much better on trackside or prime.

Thing is his laptop is way underspec to do h264 and I havent seen any expresscard dvb-t tuners available yet to use in decent newer laptops...

The TVNZ MUX has been hidden here in Wellington for some time. Unfortunately GB-PVR is unable to pick it up.

GB-PVR isnt finding the channels due to the change of audio stream type to AAC (which the current version doesnt handle). I can supply you a patch that will find all the channels during a channel scan, but it will only give you squeeks and pops for audio. I'm working on resolving this.

sub has posted the patch on the GB-PVR forums here

This will now allow you to pick up all the MUX's again but there is currently no audio on all channels.

thanks for the patch sub, i noticed the sound has disappeared on tv3 and c4 again. I was wondering why aree the TV networks using AAC audio instead of AC3 it would make more sense especially for people with surround receivers.
