ZollyMonsta: 78% of Sky, in fact.

For now TV 9 is not going on Satellite, remains on Freeview HD platform for  now, I think we are close to the announcement of the replacement of Stratos,

Im not keeping my hopes up as I can't think of any other channel that would be worth to watch go on Freeview.

Now is a good time for media works to take advantage of Freeview, as TVNZ slowly pulls out and goes to Pay TV SKY the better MW can be.

I understand fully on that hiopefully now their new owner TPG"TPG, is working on a backdoor takeover buying debt at a discounted price. If successful, TPG might shut Ironbridge and other second tier debtors out of the company."

You are semi-correct, TVNZ has made a very strong relationship with SKY TV and their move is Pay TV. Dont be surprised if TVNZ U or 1 or 2 are encrypted in the next few years.

Im mean seriously, does anyone actually watch this crap ?

My sister-in-law most likely.  She watches all that sort of crap.  I suspect she is the typical NZ TV viewer that these networks aim at..

The press statement has said after January

TV 9 is a yes

Channel North is a no as it is already in Whangerei broadcasting.
