how are you sharing the files on the computer? are you using a programme to do this?
I use serviio to do this as its a DLNA server and its worked really well, none of the issues you have had
I'm not using a program to share the files. I'm using Windows Network and File Sharing (Windows 7 Pro). The T2200 found my shared folders on my PC and plays all my mp3 files with no hiccups - it just has issues with the videos. Is it necessary to use a third party program as I have no issues with any other devices accessing the shared files?

Hi
I am touching base with the fellas back at base and looking at your situation and how to rectify the crashing error when file streaming.

So further to my post last night, the TV now has stuttering of both the picture & sound (TV1 & TV2) - it is very frustrating as it doesn't seem to happen on any other channel nor does it seem to happen on the TV1+1 or TV2+1 channels. I tried changing the aerial cable and connectors, checked the booster in the ceiling - tried with and without booster. The signal works on every other freeview TV in the house with no problems (4 other TVs) and only the T2200 has an issue and it doesn't matter what room it goes in. I have ordered a Band pass filter and will see if this makes a difference. This maybe my last option before I end up cutting my losses throwing it out. I am tired of having to factory reset and rescan, then put back in recorded programs, re-enter wifi and change guide settings - I just want to set and forget and use it! If I was elderly or not very technical this would not be an easy product to manage :( What is the difference between a TV freeview & T220 freeview - why does one not have problems and 1 does ? If it is a band pass filter why do you not provide one or why is one not built into the product that can be switched on or off if there is interference?
Christene: Re my rewind issue.... The last thing I recorded is now previewing in rewind fine now!
MUCH easier and Im sure it was always like this so not sure why someone comented it wasn't, but nice to get it back... Hopefully it stays :-)
Also the nunber two co me t above, yep, very frustrating. Doesn't happen often but annoying when it does as something used to doing with tivo and magic tv.
I also have this issue with rewind, works sometimes and not others. Suspect that it is when you are watching recorded content and another show is being recorded at the same time. Only a suspicion however.
Basically the time counts down on the left hand side so you know you are rewinding but cannot see if you have gone back far enough as the screen is basically paused. Also, does not seem to matter what speed you have selected for rewind when its happening, seems to be a 2x at the most.
When it is working however, it works as you would expect.

Hi Josh ... please help
I have some problems using my T2200:
1. With series record, how do I stop it also recording the +1 channels. I like to record TV1 6pm news each night, I arrive home a bit late and can skip through the boring bits and ads. But DishTV also records the 7pm cast on TV1+1, tying up a tuner and preventing us watching other things. I can de-program those +1 channels, but then I can't watch/record them if I want to.
2. Sometimes I don't get home late, and actually get home a bit early :-) So I watch the Chaser and need to rewind odd bits to hear the answers. Great fun. But .... we get close to 6pm and DishTV decides to abandon the delayed feed it's giving me and jump straight to Live TV so it can begin recording the news. I miss the end of my program and I can't see if they beat the Chaser !!!! and I can't change to TV1+1 because I've de-programmed that. Tivo (and MySky as far as I know) simply keep buffering and allow you to watch the delayed TV through until the recorded program (then automatically switches over to the recorded program).
3. Later at night I pause whatever movie is on to do the dishes and issue the odd parenting instruction which my kids ignore. Then I get a bit sleepy. The older I get the earlier this happens. Easy solution - record the end of the movie ... but, Dish TV refuses to record unless I've caught up to live and then also press stop. Why?
4. So I accept I'm going to miss lots of the movie, I fast forward and press stop. Then hit record ... I think it is supposed to know how long the program goes for and default this as the recording time ... my unit always wants to record for either nil or 480 minutes! Why.
I'm really hoping there's a solution other than not pausing, and not recording ... please help.
Alex

I've always had an issue with TV3, Bravo & Prime (TV 1 & 2 perfect)! Prime only gets a signal occasionally, 3 mostly, and 4 (Bravo) usually. It seems dependent on atmospheric conditions. I've simply had to give up recording on Prime, and luckily 4 has repeats that the T2200 will give another go (that always impresses me) but there's always "on demand" as a backup for 3 & 4. I'm sure it's a T2200 aerial problem as my old Magic used to cope (until it died!). Annoying Prime has no on demand app (unless you have Sky). Lately I've tried to get a few major rugby games but sporadic signal makes it impossible. I may actually go back to putting the aerial through the tv 1st, then the T2200. It's the way I used to have it with the Magic but changed it with T2200, going through there 1st, hoping it would boost poor signal strength. I guess I can now safely assume it didn't. Of course I'm afraid to change things around again for fear of losing what I currently have (frying pan, fire, and the devil you know etc)!
Josh, on the subject of missing apps; I know it was asked a long time ago, but is there anything in the pipeline for a Netflicks app? I finally succumbed to the presure from teenage children!
Thanks for your inquiry,
We provide band pass filters on our website which you can check out here https://www.dishtv.co.nz/index.php?route=product/category&path=71
We do not include them with the products because it's hard to isolate because of location, local interference, equipment etc..
In regards to Netflix App, Netflix approves how it is accessed on manufacturer units, usually this is harder than say your TVNZ OnDemand app, it's best to contact Netflix directly and send them a message about looking at getting the app, Lightbox too.

Hi I have not heard back from the team, however videos should be able to play fine, do you have a tablet or smartphone on hand and test video casts from a device to the T2200?

Could you send me a issue report via PM, so everything is in one bundle and then I can look into this for you

I have heard back today and it seems to be fine when we do it, are you able to tell me how much content on average you have when casting?
