hasole: Can you change the epg from freeviewplus to the built in EPG?

Menu > Admin > default guide however if that option is not in there, then the only way to bring up the Dish TV guide is turning off the internet connection as the FreeviewPlus application overrides the guide.

Why does the box randomly decide to drop requests for series recording? We have a number set up but occasionally they stop working and have to be re-instated.

While I'm here a suggestion for an inprovement. When a series recording is selected could we have an option to select the number of episodes to be recorded? either "All" or a number, say 1-16? For example, we record One News in the evening. We only really need the past couple of episodes, not an ever increasing number. Same thing for soaps. A function like this would help manage disk space by automatically deleteing all the older copies from the disk.

(Appologies if this has been covered in earlier posts but there are 76 pages to trawl through and the search function hasn't been able to find references.)

You are aware that the back button on the Freeview Plus EPG doesn't work? It results in a spinning wheel and nothing else. The only way out is to re-start the box

I've gone through every setting I can, how do I set the retention period of recordings? I only want 3 copies of the news not every single one and having to delete them one by one each time.

@hasole there is no setting for what you want

you series link a program you get every episode of the program

you can go through and use the mark (green button) to select items you want to do a function on, then when done selecting press delete (red button) to delete those selected. much faster than the way you are doing it.

This may have been asked before but when series linking a program on channels 1,2 or 3 it also records the +1 channels as well. Any way to stop this or is it standard?

This is standard, it will record the first channels, this is just in case there are clashes in the initial record and the +1 becomes a backup

Hi Josh,

Just wondering if the team at Dish TV were working on any new hardware, specifically a triple tuner, 3D/MKV compatible, with a DVD and or 4K ability?

I'm a Panasonic Freeview user but my handset is dying - yes, I could buy a new one, but I don't need much of an excuse to buy a new unit?

I don't want no sugar in it - thank you very much

with a DVD

Count me for an included DVD player. I can get back a power socket/3 less cables/1 hdmi connection/ 1 less remote.

In addition, how about searches for available streams?

Cheers

Bernard

@DishTV some things i would like to see

- a box that isnt sluggish when doing anything, pressing a button and having to wait 2-15 seconds for something to happen is not cool.

- if i press the media button im taken to the USB page of the media center, if i press it again nothing happens, why not make it so it takes you to the UPnP page or one of the other Media type functions. I used UPnP a lot through the TV at the moment. The t2200 is very cumbersome when it comes to getting to this.

- suggestion for the UPnP side, maybe some way of displaying more media on the screen or some way to scroll through them quicker if you have a large amount of files in there.

- in the Media Center, it displays the list of files int he current directory down the right hand side, and the current file details down the bottom on the left.

Could you make it so the currently selected files name scrolls through the available space on the right hand side list, and also down the bottom. as if you have long file names and the only difference is the last few characters/numbers you have no way of seeing this, and all the files look the same.

- a way to play live streamed TV channels now they are available

- add a feature that lets you resume the last playback position on USB or Upnp media? every other media player ive used has had this

1. Love the app, but it can never automatically find the device, but as soon as i manually use the ip address it finds it straight away. would love this to be fixed.

2. would love to be able to set the default function of the media button, we never use USB, we use media sharing extensively

the below are all about media sharing (UPnP)/USB

3. scrolling through media via media sharing/USB is painful, there is only one speed for the scroll, slow, so if you have  heap of files in the folder it takes ages to get through them, maybe using the next track button could scroll a page, and/or holding the down arrow for a couple of seconds could scroll down 2x as fast or something?

4. there is a huge big rectangle on the left hand side of the screen which for photos is used for a preview, but for video files this does nothing, maybe it could lay a preview of the file if the cursor is left on if for 5 or so seconds/

5. Under the "preview box" mentioned in 4 is details about the media, this never ever shows the duration of the media. it would be nice if it could

6. file names in the file list on the right hand side are no where near long enough, they only show the first 21 characters of the name of the file or folder there is no way to see the rest of the file name, maybe this could scroll in the media details down the bottom left or even in the file list of you leave it highlighted for a little.

7. play mode (green button) could this default back to folder once when you exit the media sharing? i generally like to randomise it when i what music videos but when watching TV series the next day i like to watch them in order.

 other things

8. i have time shift setup, i know that, i would love to know what chanel its on, so maybe have it say something like SH01 or S001 so you know its shifiting and also the chanel you are on.

I forgot to include LightBox access in the wish list also.

A big congratulations for your team. laughing The T2200 has been installed in our house for a couple of years now and continues to give good service.

Still way better than buying the name brand units that will upgrade for 12 mths and then leave you high and dry until their next model is ready.

Cheers

Bernard
