speedy23:  Is it possible to 'rearrange' the EPG listing - or even delete channels we would never look at? Thanks Josh.

You can delete, rearrange the channels as you wish via the Channel Manager in the Menu, with this you can also rename, delete, move and skip to your preference.
The Freeview EPG listing will be unaffected however the Quick Selection Guide will suit to what you have customised.

rodimus: Have purchased one happy so far but two problems
1) channel list was deleted rescanning didn't fix. Restoring to factory default and rescanning channels worked.

Yes, we are aware of this and our software team are working on a update to correct this issue, in the meantime switching on/off in standby will correct the issue.

2) when booking a recording on channel one it has also booked the same programme on tv 1+1

Any suggestions for 2)?

The booking issue is normal behavior the same as all recorders. The unit will only record the first available instance though, so you should only get the one recorded programme on the original channel unless there are tuner clashes at the same time.

I hope this answers your questions :-) Feel free to get back in touch if you require further clarification

Swapped in the S8200 yesterday for the old MySky box now that our Sky has been killed off.

The OnDemand apps are fantastic - thanks for those. Could we also have Lightbox, NetFlix and Neon apps please? Are these even a possibility? Or alternatively a browser with appropriate addin support to allow people to connect to these sites. That would be absolutely fantastic if it was able to be done and would make this the perfect receiver! smile

Other feedback - the box is a little slow to boot from StandBy, but this is a minor.

The setup of the box is easy and straight forward, the interface is nice both in EPG, Menus and Library.

It would be nice when I delete something from Library if the cursor moved to the next item, but it jumps up the page at the moment.

We had Sky multiroom and I had setup the S8200 in the bedroom and then moved it to the lounge yesterday after Sky was killed. All good, smooth transition.

I have also purchased a satBox S7030 for the bed room (where I had set up the S8200);
If the S8200 is turned on then I turn on the S7030 the S8200 goes blank (the TV screen just goes black) and the S7030 claims there is no signal
If the S8200 is turned to Standby, then the S7030 doesn't claim there is no signal, but when I go into setup then none of the satellites show any signal strength.

I believe the Sky feed was split simply via a split on the incoming cable and one split ran to the MySky in the lounge and the other split ran to the old Sky decoder in the bedroom. (I can see where it has been done under the house). Is there more needed to have both the S8200 and S7030 working at the same time?

Possible that both decoders, or neither, are powering the LNB.

There should be a setting for LNB power in the setup of them, and you probably need to check the splitter to see with port has Power Pass through (usually only one port, sometime all ports pass power back to the LNB).

Thanks for the feedback, it will be possible in the future to add in more SVOD apps, email or contact each provider about adding them to the SatBox and AerialBox products, the more questions, the better the outcome! :-)

I'll send this through to the software team as feedback and suggestions. I'll get back to you on the other stuff you have mentioned.

Thanks Josh.

And one other thing we're noticing is that occasionally the EPG doesn't load - have to push the button again and again and again and on the 10th press it will work. The satBox is registering the button push, but EPG just doesn't load.

Are you noticing this on one particular group of channels or every single one?

Haven't taken any real notice of what channel it has been on, but I do know it was on Channel 2 this evening when we had the issue. Will watchout and see what channel/s it occurs on in the future. Thanks.

Josh We have this problem on the T1050 - I always thought it was the way thing worked, just taking its time downloading OTA.

Hi Josh,

We struck a different issue last night - we could not switch to TV3 or 3+1 as well as several other channels.
Enter the channel number on the remote and it would do nothing
Via EPG and selecting the channel and it would do nothing
Using the channel up/down button it would do nothing, or if you pressed it a number of times quickly then it would jump ahead to channels that were working.

I had thought that maybe it was an issue with the Freeview broadcast of those channels, but when it was still doing it this morning I pulled the power on the satBox S8200 for 5 seconds, and then once it had rebooted I had all channels again.

Cheers,
Craig

(PS Are happy enough for issues to be listed in this thread, or would you prefer a separate thread?)

Please retune your receiver, we have had no reported issues from other members and the units I have here are working as usual,

If retuning still doesn't solve the issue then perform a factory reset.

The only exception is the TVNZ POP UP Channel on 15 which has not yet been allocated EPG Data.

Please respond via our feedback discussion

It did, but all 3 disappeared with the last firmware update.

The App Portal is not affected by firmware, because the portal is connecting to our servers to retrieve the landing page of the apps. Once approval has been given the green light then apps will appear. I will update this discussion with an apps announcement and I am getting iManual material updated to feature the Apps Portal.
