Where do I start!
In the lounge:
32" Samsung LCD
Sony 5 Disc Home Theatre
My Sky
Sony Hard Disk DVD Recorder
PS3 - Original
Pentium 4 PC running windows 7 Ultimate with it's own 17" monitor for web / email and linked to the TV for movies/TV
An old Technics amp for the garden speakers.
and a Panasonic VCR.........Yes we still have videos, and still watch them sometimes too.

In My office:
Pioneer Amp, with 5 speaker surround.
Windows Server 2008 R2 - for storage.
Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit - with HD TV tuner.
23" full HD monitor
XBox 360.

In the bed room
Samsung 27" LCD
Random make DVD player
Strong Freeview Satellite receiver.

I'm still working on getting a media player for the bedroom so we can watch our stored content there.

May the farce be with you!

TV

Dear Geekzone, please help me fill the void left by a lack of quality AV Gear!

My Soniq TV and unbranded DVD player are an embarrassment!

TV: Samsung 32" widescreen CRT
Amp: Yamaha DSP-A1
Speakers: Castle Acoustics Trent II, with Wharfdale Pacific EVO II Centre, and generic sony surrounds
Sub: Sony WM-40

Also:
Digitech A-V switcher
Homecast HT3000 Freeview decoder
Pioneer DV-686A DVD player

Am planning to rationalise a bunch of this stuff with an HTPC - likely next year sometime - along with an upgraded TV - probably a 42" 200Hz LED LCD.

16:9 32" CRT TV (believe it!) and Sky with cheap Panasonic recorder and rubbish eXTra-terrestrial HD receiver (who else got stung with one of these?).  Saving for an HDTV for Christmas and a DVR would complement that nicely (and allow me to finally consign the ET where it belongs!)

We have a single channel DVB-T receiver in the lounge. It allegedly records to external USB HDD, but it has yet to prove this in a court of law.

Lily the cat likes to sniff it though, so gotta be good I suppose. Dexter the cat prefers the 6 year old DVD player, he can watch that tray go in-out-in-out-in-out alllll-dayyy-looong...(unless his fat head gets in the way of the IR signal then he's no fun..)

It'd be awesome to use the HT9200DTR as our main receiver and be able to use the existing device elsewhere in the house. The cats would become disorientated with the lack of scent on the new device, but would soon see to that, just like they do to my head when I'm nodding off to sleep...

The current device only has 24hr EPG which is either a bad design, why it was so cheap or because I have failed as a man and am unable to program the thing. Polly the cat however (s'ok, last mention of cats, I've run out - we only have the three) is intelligent enough to stare knowingly at approximately the correct group of buttons on the remote for me to figure it out. It has occurred to me however that she might not actually be attempting feline-human communication, rather she is thinking about why her bowl is empty yet again...

Cheers
Russ

Our current system is composed of a bunch of bits that aren't really connected together...

Main TV - [in the lounge] Samsung 32" LCD (Freeview built-in) with nothing else plugged in.

2nd TV - [in the kids games room] Old Warehouse Transonic 18" with built-in [crappy] DVD player, PS2 [with eyetoy, pom-poms, buzz, stearing wheel and controllers], budget Philips DVD player [plays DivX] and archaic JVC Video recorder.

3rd "TV" - [in our bedroom] Old IBM Thinkcentre desktop with Win7Ultimate, wifi, way too small 17" LCD display and a USB tuner [the little rabit ears work better than our main aerial!!].

Plus a home-built Windows HomeServer, serving up video, photos and music.
Just started wiring the house up with Cat5e...

I've been watching and waiting for a MyFreeiew|HD device to really stand out, but they're still just too expencive!

We have a CRT TV that sometimes whistles and sometimes hums, If i won this HD recorder, i would donate my CRT to a Country and Western band and get a newer TV. the HD Recorder would be handy as I work nights part time and miss anything watchable on TV

I have just a very old Sony TV, so Freeview would add so much more fun to our 'Home Theater'

Currently, I have a Frankensteins Monster of a setup. One PCI tuner, one USB tuner, running to a 32" Sony Bravia. Using 7MC to view all my media (except music, still use iTunes for that due to ipod) through the telly. Currently my video card (9800GT) is overheating, though nothing has changed (except the weather), so i am forced to run with an open case:
