Can we have some feedback on the iManual? What do you think? Design, UI, Navigation etc...
This is a new method we have been using on our new generation boxes (T2100, T2200, S8200)

Brymo: Sorry if this has already been asked, but which ondemand apps does the S8200 come with at the moment?

TVNZ On Demand, 3Now and Maori TV On Demand

It did, but all 3 disappeared with the last firmware update.

So this is a tad disappointing ... If I want to be sure of having these apps do I have to buy a Samsung TV - which I was hoping to avoid after a bad experience of an expensive Samsung crapping out after just 3 years.

We are always open to any product or service launching apps on our range of devices, however you will need to talk to Lightbox and Netflix via email or live chat or on Geekzone to make them aware. This goes to other apps/streaming services available.

Choice TV is working on a HbbTV and FreeviewPlus app and should be ready by the end of the year.

It should be apps.dishtv.co.nz

These apps on the S8200 have not been launched yet, we haven't taken them away because we no longer support them. the process is a little complex with our satBox because the apps are ready but it's not under the FreeviewPlus brand. It's a waiting game but then once they are up they will stay on.

Hi Guys, the apps are now available on the S8200, TVNZ Ondemand and 3Now are available right now with Maori TV releasing their app shortly. Thankyou for the wait as we had to wait for Broadcasters approval before releasing them to the general public. If you managed to login during the time these apps were available last month then your login details for TVNZ Ondemand will be retained.

If you wish to see other services be added to the Dish TV range please consult the provider themselves.

Hi Customers

I have set up a private forum to get feedback on a few content I work at Dish TV like PDF Manuals, iManual Devalopment, Videos and other end user items.
This forum is only for feedback on these few items, nothing will change on the current public threads here, topics will be very different and only specific to certain things.
It saves on cluttering the public Freeview DVBT/S thread.

If you would like access please +1 this post and I will add your username to the forum system. If you are tech savy, have a few products of Dish TV or one of the 2015 + generation boxes, love discussions not rants (haha) and would love to add 2 cents to how things look then this is for you.

Cheers!

Hello Josh

It is my first time on here so I am sorry if this post appears in the wrong Place.

Not sure if you can help.

An unusual event has just occurred on my S8200.

Husband somehow did a time shift (have no idea what this is or what it does) on a Program so we entered the Library as we
thought it was possibly recording. It had an entry on there for the Program with the status of Time shift so we chose to delete it.
The box went through the process of deleting then returned to the library, on the top line
there was now an entry with no title but it had a a strange date not sure
may have been 1st Jan 1970 - Well we chose to delete it - after the box performed the delete of the program all the entries in the whole library
went with it, some 30 entries all gone. Box now tells us that there are no audio videos in the Library.

Is there anyway we can get them back.

Thanks

That's strange how all programmes have been deleted, it looks like you selected all the shows and deleted them in one go. You cannot get those back however we are working on a trash bin.

We have now unplugged the power and then let it boot up again.
The library is back but it did not pick up scheduled programs to be recorded we have to
do it manually. Also a Program recorded last week has the status of recording against it.
I will have a play about with it tomorrow to see if this stops two recordings.

Thanks for your reply but we only selected the one record for deleting hence the library returning after re-boot.

Can you let us know what parts of the unit are slow?
