This is a RFI (sorry if the info is available elsewhere on Geekzone. I did do a preliminary search, but didn't find too much info)

I am aware of Jayx's C1 National Beams project http://jayx.co.nz/NationalbeamsC1.html but that is just a report out of Auckland. Are other people getting the non-NANZ beams off C1 and D3 successfully in other parts of NZ? If so, roughly where, with what equipment, and how strong and consistent are the signals? I don't need to or want to know if you are decoding Aurora or anything else, just that you're getting the signals.

Maybe with enough data points we can start to build up a map.

I get C1 fine here just below Queenstown on a 90cm dish, usually about 70% signal strength, only goes out if there is extremely heavy rain or snow.

Here in Nelson I'm picking up only the one active transponder C1 at signal 85% (clear night) on a 65cm Sky dish. I too would be interested in finding out if a bigger dish would pull any more transponders on C1

What sat receiver do you have ?
Just thought if you had a DVB- S2 receiver you might be able to get the ABC3 channel which is not encrypted on the Vast network (probably need a 10700 LNB as well).
