Maybe its just me/my antenna but I seem to be having serious pixelation and breakup on the TVNZ freeview channels this afternoon here in Christchurch..anyone else having issues?

Probably a TVNZ problem.
No problems here in North Shore, Auckland from Waiatarua today but I had serious pixellation problems recording TV ONE on the PC on Saturday night. When trying to edit the ads out it actually crashed my video editor software about 35 mins into Sherlock. I don't usually get any pixellation at all as the signal is 100/100.

Lots of pixelation for me this week too.  Starting to wonder if the new road works etc in Antugua Street in my line of sight to Sugarloaf might be affecting some of my channels.  It seems better again in the evenings when they've gone home for the night.  Maybe just coincidence.  I really should get an external UHF aerial sorted soon but usually the indoor one is adequate.

You know what, I found the cause of the problem and its weird - whenever I play the computer game "Arma II" on single player mode  everything on the TVNZ mux basically pixelates up and dies and if a play long enough the Tivo looses all the channel info for all the TVNZ channels and requires a re-scan to get it back..bizarre.
The Tivo is connected to my network via an ethernet cable so I don't know if something is going across the net and scambling the Tivo's brain or its some sort of RF interference.

I've showed this to a friend and he reckons that it's interference; he gave a technical explanation that went right over my head :)

Have been getting this quite a bit with the pixelation of channel 1. (also in Chch).

Grandmother and her friends on Freeview get it too. She even asked a Chch Freeview installer who said he gets that too.

I assumed it was just me until they said they get it too and I saw this thread.

State suburb and antenna used. I live in Christchurch and have been watching since 02/04/08 and have never seen any evidence of picture breakup apart from two brief complete mux outages and an audio problem that affected certain devices. Many people don't have UHF antennas or use rabbit ears hence the issues.
