Friend of mine lives in a small apartment complex( 30+) that has a communal satellite dish that provides for the apartments. Thinks it is a metre or higher dish

He said the dish looks discoloured and he wanted to know if it can be replaced with a smaller 65cm dish

Can it?

Why would you want to replace a decent commercial dish with a undersized domestic one? Just because it is discoloured?

Hi, like richard why would it need replacing, just because its discoloured does that make it inferior. A larger dish has a higher gain and therefore better noise performance its crackers to replace it with a smaller dish.

Just dont understand.

Cyril
