Hi Guys.  Got a freeview satellite setup with a 25m cable run (RG6).  Most channels are fine but TV3, FOUR, C4 & TV3+1 are breaking up badly.

I reset the decoder to default and it scanned for channels and picked up everything (including the TV3 group of channels) but the TV3 group of channels are badly pixelated.

It was working fine last week.

Any ideas?  What things can I try?

Cheers

Alignment issues with the lnb?
What LNB is it? is it the old Sky dual throat unit?

I was completely wrong.  It is a DVB-T not DVB-S.  Still the same issue though - poor reception of TV3 mux.

Had a play with the aerial direction but this made no difference.  There is a tree (mostly without leaves now) in the direct line of sight to Te Aroha.  The connection inside the small black box on the aerial is also a bit rusty.

These possible issues?

Yes.
I presume you do have a UHF only antenna and it is horizontally polarised?
You generally need an antenna (UHF only) and co-ax in tip top condition run directly to the TV or STB and if that doesn't work then maybe a masthead amp as well.
The tree doesn't sound like it's much of a problem.

Snap, I've been getting freeview reception errors off and on lately. Quick instances of video and audio corruption. In my case it is off the satellite.
