old3eyes: I recorded it on my TiVo and added another 2 hours to the record time just in case. Have been caught like this before
ADKM: Those who missed it were at the mercy of the EPG. On the Panasonic 380 you can't extend the time on a scheduled event by very much, and not at all for just one event... nor alter the finishing time until the recording has started. which of course is hard if you're not home. You also can't programme a start time and duration like on the older DVDrs (and VCRs). This is a real issue now that recordings so often fail to start. I pity everyone when there's digital only!
But if it's the same EPG for all, why did Cloudys Dish unit succeed ?

B1GGLZ: You don't have to use the EPG for setting record times. You can still set the start and end times manually just like you used to on VCRs. At least I can on my BW880 and the 380 should be no different.? That way you can be sure of getting what you want and not have to rely on the Broadcaster's times via their EPG.
