Hiya folks...

Struggling to setup freeview...here's the situation..

The Sky (non HD) decoder is going back...
Currently the sky decoder is working just fine... currently have two leads to the decoder (only one of them is terminated / crimped)

I have a spare coship / generic brand decoder that has no settings on it.

What I'm trying to achieve is:

Replace the sky decoder, with the generic decoder
Using the generic decoder, access the freeview transmission.

Would appreciate if someone could assist with transponder / satellite settings

High freq
Low Freq
Power

I would love to change the world, but they won't give me the source code

Thanks...I did see that.. but I'm either doing it wrong or missing something..

The sky dish has a dual? oval lnb...and has been installed about a year ago.

Yep as above. Turn that 22kHz tone off and adjust to DVB-S only.

Tried..and still no luck..

Signal still sitting at 0% and a scan finds absolutely nothing...

When the box is connected to another dish, it does pickup signal (however that dish is pointing to another satellite..not a sky / freeview one.)

If the box works fine, then that really only leaves cabling or the LNB at fault.

What satellite is the box set to recieve a signal from if it's anything but Optus D1 that could also be the reason for lack of signal

Hi RM,

I will try and explain the dish setup:

There are two dishes, with separate cables.

Dish 1: Sky dish. Currently connected to sky non hd decoder. There are twin cables, however, the 2nd cable is not crimped / terminated. The sky decoder works fine on this dish.

Dish2 : Ex Vision. This dish points to some other satellite. The decoder I'm trying to configure works fine i.e. picks up a non freeview / some other signal when connected to this dish.

However.

When I connect the decoder I am trying to configure to the Sky dish, it does not work / pick up a signal.

This is despite the fact that I've tried the settings mentioned by GZ'ers above...

My apologies if my OP was a bit confusing :)

The satellite the box was previously configured to Optus D2...

I've added in the D1 settings (from this post...)

Are you suggesting deleting any other satellite settings?
