Hi, can someone please recommend a quality freeview decoder with equivalent functionality to my sky (pause, rewind, record 2 channels while watching another etc). Most of the tv I watch lately is free to air so I'm looking at ditching mysky and getting freeview. Also are they capable of series linking shows?

All freeview approved "MyFreeview" PVR units have series link functionality.

Tivo ... If you can still get your hands on one.
But thats only for freeview UHF, it won't work on freeview satellite

Thanks for that, unfortunately though I'm outside of the uhf coverage area so only satellite available but I'll have a look at some off the other options

My Ultraplus 9200 can record 3 at once while watching 4th. Easy to use and excellent epg. BUT series link is not good.

My Dishtv s7090 pvr also works very well. Record 2 channels while watching a 3rd. Excellent series link. Freeview EPG.  Easy to use but not quite as user friendly as ultraplus in my opinion.  Half the cost of the Ultraplus and has 500GB hard drive. So I would recommend the dishtv unit

HTPC Intel Pentium G3258 cpu, Gigabyte H97n-wifi motherboard, , 8GB DDR3 ram, onboard  graphics. Hauppuage HVR 5500 tuner,  Silverstone LC16M case, Windows 10 pro 64 bit using Nextpvr and Kodi

+1 for Dish pvr. Good support in NZ as well. About as good as you will get for sat signal.

Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation

thanks, I see the freeview website has most of the answers to the questions I had but nothing like getting the opinions/reviews of decoders from the people who have used them
