Why does my upgrade not work? I'm getting an invalid codec error with the media pack installed on windows 8 pro. Frustrating as hell

:-) Cheers

I'm sure this is not a solution, but... I like my HTPC working in the lounge as it is - it will remain on Windows 7 for years to come. Codecs, video drivers, tuner drivers - too many things to fail, I rather not touch it.

Found an easy solution that has worked for me at present. I have installed the divx codecs and all is working well with WMC Live TV in Windows 8.

Now to figure out if I can get my Philips SRM7500 remote working

:-) Cheers
