Hi everyone,

I just wanted to check if an issue I have is MY issue, or others are experiencing it too. This year I am having trouble Series Linking the 3News bulletin at 6pm. Worked fine last year. No trouble doing the same with Campbell Live (same channel and straight afterwards) in 2013. No problems with other programs.

I sent Freeview a message about this and they were not unhelpful - said I should contact the folks who made the device ....well I'm sure Panasonic would love to hear from me, but like me, they might have difficulty understanding why their product will only series link some programmes.(!) Other Salient facts are that I'm in Dunedin, and using UHF.

So it would be good to hear if others have the problem too, so I'll know it's not me going mad. Thanks in advance.

Good timing :-)

Yes there has been an issue , but I just got off the phone to a colleague
who spoke to Freeview today ,and it is now apparently fixed.

+1 on 3 news playing silly buggers with series link over the last  couple of weeks

Got so annoyed with it I set up a bog standard brute force timed recording from 6-7 on tv3 to "fix" the problem.

Well if your colleague actually got SERVICE from Freeview, and they have fixed it, somebody should buy him an Ale!

Cheers

I started having problems and created a thread on 30th jan. It seems the EPG is sending the same 'episode id' for all 3news shows

I'm having a similar issue with TV1 news. When I set it to series link, I see the icon appears on both the TV1 and the TV1+ programme listings, and it only ever records the TV1+ broadcast. Other seros linked programmes on TV1 record ok. Anything that I can do to get it to record TV1 and not TV1+??

Excellent to read. I've been having the exact same problem (3 News record nightly) for several weeks and had put it down to a quirk in my mythtv setup. Am looking forward to confirming their fix.

Thanks for the heads up.

i *think* that the data might be fixed for next week, the series appears to be picking up again.
