The transmission provider has been having issues with the feeds from Chch. There was work recently to improve the link diversity into Mt Campbell which was to have fixed it.
That's really a question for the broadcasters and their transmission provider. As the broadcasters are paying the bills for the link, I would expect them wanting it working correctly. If the work that was carried out has not fixed it, well another solution will need to be found.
