My Dad couldn't get Trackside on my parents Dish TV satellite recorder so I decided to do a scan of the satellite and it looks like it's been removed.

So I'm just wondering if anyone else can still pick it up on their Dish TV receiver.

Trackside = 12671 H, 22500 SR

Also C4 = 12644 H, 22500 SR

Still no go.

And with Dish TV all the frequencies for Sky and Freeview are already in the unit so I don't exactly know how to fix this.

And with TS it usually sits around 1000 or 1001 but I'm not getting numbers that low. I think, from memory, I'm getting it around 1015 but I'll do another scan tonight and revise this post.

I tuned this in just the other day no problems. Probably 2 weeks ago that is, if this helps?

As illicit said, You need to enter  the  transponder settings and possibly enter or scan new transponders, trackside and C4 are broadcast free to air of the Sky transponders/ not freeview

And as I said in my post above Dish TV now have all that entered into their units so I don't see any point in re-entering it and scanning the satellite again for a third consecutive time.

But I do appreciate your suggestion and advice.

rather than just a satellite scan have you tried a factory reset.  Not sure what unit you have but if it is a hard drive model the recorded programs wont be affected but you will need to reset any series recordings as they will be wiped from memory

Wasn't there an issue with some "certified" boxes not seeing channels outside the Freeview ones?? My "Non certified " sat box picks up both Trackside and C4 fine.

he hasnt said what model he has.  But my DishTV s7090pvr is Freeview certified and it has Trackside. I didnt have to specially tune it in.  BUT when SBS and Channel 9 were broadcasting I did tune those in separately

I have a s7090 box too and am having the same problems.

Trackside was there last weekend and has disappeared.

I have just done a blind satellite scan for FTA channels and it finds Trackside OK in the list (on 12671 or 12707) but when you finish and look at the channels on the box its not installed it.  Weird.

Will keep investigating.

Factory reset worked !
Tried deleting and reinstalling several times but no joy so gave up and reset the box.
Yay - I thought the boyfriend had done something clever to stop me watching the racing !
