i seem to get little or no signal in kerikeri using a 20 el uhf aerial.
the closest transmitter is in whangare.
when i move the aerial across the roof i get little ripples go across the screen which i think is a little bit of signal coming through
do you guys recommend buying a new aerial or amplifier?
thanks

Unless you want to play around with a really serious aerial set up (high mast, huge number of elements) and even then you may get nothing, don't bother.....

The freeview transmitter at Whangarei is on Parahaki, ( its on a low JDA site)
[its not on the same site as the Analog service coming from Kordia's much higher site at Horokaka-Tangihua]

The chances of something at that height getting a clear signal through to Keri Keri is pretty much zip,

Look at the coverage maps here

Your chances of getting a signal in Kerikeri would be zero.
You will need to use satellite for Freeview.
