I see we now have the tv2 plus 1 channel.  They have really confused mum now. She is 85 and only just got used to tV1 plus 1 on channel 7.  Well now tvone plus 1 is on channel 6 and tv2 plus 1 is on channel 7.  Its logical having tv2 plus 1 after tvone plus 1 but for elderly with mild Alzheimers it is very confusing.

welcome to the age of digital TV.
My parents always got confused when SKY changed their channel plans and its happened a few times in the past decade or two. Infact Ive just got used to the new line up they implemented not so long ago.

I print off an A4 font size PT 24 channel guide for them and it lives in an appropriate place in the lounge until they get the gist.

Actually thats a great idea. Never thought of that. But a channel guide list would help

I know the feeling well...

Every now and then my old Draco FV box re-organises the channels.

Three weeks ago all was logical - TV1,TV2, TV3 etc.

Then overnight they were re-arranged according to mux, so all the TVNZ channels were together, Mediaworks in one lump, then the others.

Wondered how long others would take to notice this :) (I did at about 130 this morning after the channel changed to showing the new bands yesterday afternoon) and re-scanned

Depending on the tv, go sort out the favourites.. Panies have 2 banks of favs. I knock out the radio and non english channels then re-order to suit

Potentially a regional thing

Off Sugarloaf, 1+1 is no more. Now on UHF6. 2+1 has now appeared in 7

One Plus 1 moved to the old "U" channel 6 and Two+1 has taken up residence on Channel 7 (which was formerly One Plus 1).

Edit: Im on the sugarloaf as well.  Seemless intergration happened last night without any rescan required (sony bravia).
I think U went off air somtime between yesterday and the day before and was replaced with a static image advising of the change occuring today.

Thats what made me know to re-scan when I saw the banner point out an allocation change. All 3 Pannies here show no signal on existing 1+1 position :)

So clearly not smart enough to do an OTA change, or cause we are using the favourites feature

Both my transonic boxes and my samsung tv just picked up the changes as soon as I turned them on. Banner said U for about a second then changed to tv one plus 1 when I hit 6.

The Panny DVD recorder even threw the toys and had removed them from the listing totally :)

I'm wondering if the Panasonics save the listings with the full PIDs etc (do digital have similar to -S with the detailed frequency info included?) and since those have changed slightly no longer match exacts
