Nice, better than that other waste of space shopping channel they added a week ago

Yeah this is quite good, will be looking forward to it. It's always good to get some news from another "point of view".

Would have been nicer if it was BBC World News

Hmm... so Sky will have it on the satellite but encrypted and it will be FTA but only on Freeview UHF.
Freeview satellite viewers miss out again.

Opinions are my own and not the views of my employer.

Lame government that instigated Freeview should have imposed a "must carry" so that UHF and satellite Freeview has the same channels.

If it's unencrypted on Sky satellite, wont that make it available to freeview sat users?

Sorry - ignore that..."encrypted" .. reading too quick..

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

Once the old analogue signals are switched off (and everyone's transitioned on to digital TV), hopefully more attention will be put into improving the service.

I think Freeview has another 1 or 2 UHF mux that's not being assigned.. and perhaps Sky's recent move of opening up their Prime signal is a sign of more cooperation with Freeview that gets better use out the limited satellite space they both have.

It may have another advantage for Sky if those sort of moves help stave-off the regulators (especially if there's a change in Government next year).

And you know something odd i posted as above on Freeviews Facebook page and the posting mysteriously disappeared. I guess it was because I didn't pimp or mention freeviewforum.co.nz!

And we would have less channels since the cost of satellite freeview is so high

Am happy to see Al Jazeera is coming to Freeview on 1 November. It's a good news channel to have and hopefully others will follow. Glad Sky hasn't contractually locked it down to be a Sky only channel.

Great news but a shame it isn't FTA on DVB-S as well.
