Honestly, I'm a sky person myself. However I've heard good things about The Freeview Shops' product ranges.

The reason I picked that particular product is that it fits the criteria the best as I believe the next option up is $350 or so.

-Aidan.

UPDATE: Of course I don't recommend buying their HDD option, you can get a much better deal elsewhere - that is if you don't already have your own HDD.

I have a Dish T1050 - More than $200 If I remember correctly. But the T1020 is much less and will allow recording if you use the USB port. The T1050 has 2 tuners but the T1020 only has one.

The support I have received from Dish on the telephone has been the best from any supplier of tech gear that I have ever used.

Not sure on the pricing, but packed with features and the software is very closely related to the Ultraplus range.

dishtvt1000 hdmi1080p around 130.00 or the t5050 which has built in dvd player about 180.00 supported by freeviewshop would be my recommendation

All, thank you for your replies

It has comes down to the Loranz LZ0031STB @ $89 or the DishTV t1000 @$99, the former has a remote included and the later additional at approx. $30. The Dish has the advantage of being able to add a WiFi adapter at an additional $49

Looks like its a no brainer and I'll get the Loranz, unless someone can convince me otherwise !
