Hi there.

So have dropped SKY and install Freeview aerial today. Has good line of sight to Mt Cargill. However TV reports no signal - sure everything is connected correctly. Now I wonder if this TV has Freeview - thought it did but could be wrong.

Any suggestions please before I go and get a Freeview box?? Thinking Loranz by the way.

Your TV has Freeview.

Dunnersfella: Your TV has Freeview.
Something else is afoot.

Check for shorts or open circuit.
The signal is obviously not making it from the antenna to the TV.
Also possible but unlikely that you are scanning analogue, not digital when auto tuning?

Ah yes the scanning. :-) Now I have done that all is good incl. 5.1 out to receiver....... Nice picture too. Thanks all.
