So I bought a Digital TV from Cash Converters (I am a fool I know).  Unfortunatley I can't get free to air signals from it because the area I live in is really really backward.
However I have a digital set top box/DVD player combo I can plug it into to.
I would like some advice on how to set the whole thing up so I can at least watch DVDs
My TV set is a kogan and the set top box is a typically standard one.

Any links,  diagrams and explanations would be most welcome.

Hi,

if you can be a little more specific with models when might be able to give you some advice. If both your devices are new, then you may be able to plug directly with a single HDMI lead between the dvd and TV. This gives you full HD video and sound to boot. Next best way is using component video (3 phono leads) plus another 2 leads for l & r audio to your set (or your hifi).

Remember too that you dont need the flash $100 HDMI cable to make it work. If the $10 one is certified for HDMI it will work just as good.

good luck

If you don't have the user guides for the TV and DVD etc then download from the net. They will show you how to interconnect.
