Hi folk,
Just toying with the idea of getting a mobile TV tuner - not sure if I want one that requires mains power or battery power yet.

Looking at either the ElGator EyeTV Netstream DTT (plugged in) or the Elgato Tivizen (battery unit).  Just wondering if anyone is using either of these and can give some feedback?

Other device mentions welcome - I was originally looking for a DVB-H device but then I think that technology is not supported here yet?   I need to connect it to Windows, IPhone and Android (preferably by Wifi).

Regards

You are correct, DVB-H is not supported here.

You might like to concider a HD Homerun and that will work happily on all your devices ( you might have to pay for some apps for Android )

You still need to connect it to an external aerial to get the best possible picture.
Some chanels dont work properly like Choice TV due to the high compression used by Freeview to put as many channels thay can on to one transponder.

I looked at the HD Homerun but it didn't seem to have much in the way of vendor availability or support outside of the US.

My other option is to just by a small mobile TV with DVB-T support built in. I think there must be some 7-12" models around.

I got my HD Home run from nicegear.
http://nicegear.co.nz/htpc/silicondust-hdhomerun/
$175 incl GST & Delivery, arrived the next day.
Real easy to use.
Support, I have not needed any so can not comment.

I have not seen a DVB-T TV smaller than 19" other than the ones in cars ( funny thing is the 32" ones are cheaper )

Cheers
John
