Hi when Freeview had just been introduced here in NZ we could input some PID to get a couple of good Australian channels on same LNB. Unfortunately, they were decommissioned and replaced by cable within AU.

As of 2014 does anyone know of any new hidden Optus D2 PID that do not need decryption?
Please list here if so thanks kindly.

I had tried these, but none of them worked with Sky/Freeview dish. I would have thought that at the very least ABC would have worked?

My embarrassed; I had done a blind scan on D2 which of course then just labels the Satellite used as D2, when in fact its D1.
So if I stick up a dual bracket LNB with 2 LNB and align it correctly for both D1/D2, can I expect to get all non-encrypted channels on the Lingsat url above?

I'd really like to get Al Jazerra again, but we dont have terrestrial here, and I dont see it on any of the satellite lists.

That'll work well. on D1, did you find a channel called "L-Bird1" you'll find that it is Channel Nine Australia FTA.

edit: 12381 V 3750 if you don't already have it.

It's a DVB-S2 channel.

Did another blind scan and got it then, but its not very good signal, I guess the satellite could do with a wee tweak.

Around 65-70% in Gisborne, even with rain still getting a good signal on my 90cm dish. You may need to skew your lnb slightly to improve Verticles.

Channel Nine has been on D1 for a couple of months to coincide with the summer sports season in Australia (cricket, tennis, etc). It will possibly end transmission once the big sporting events come to an end.

Nobody should go out and buy a DVB-S2 receiver on the basis of this solitary feed (and it is a feed as the screen goes blank for the commercial break).

Regardless of this feed, it's called future-proofing. soon most channels here in NZ that are on D1 might go to DVB-S2 1080i.

Not likly, as it would make all the people that have just bought a cheap sat box get all whiney when they cant get everything on it.

That is hardly soon. I would expect most sat boxes would have died by then. Hopefully there is somethign better than S2 out by that time so we can jump a generation. But IMO broadcast tv will not be a thing by then.

As I understand it, Vodafone is distributing TV feeds on its fiber optic network. I've written to them requesting they also consider IPTV replication on ADSL in a similar manner using streaming eg 9X-JHAKAAS-TV rtmp://cdn.m.yupptv.tv/liveorigin/etvuk1 live=true
Highly unlikely they will take up my suggestion but its worth a punt.
