Hi:
Just checking on the Xcruiser XDSR385HD STB receiver - is it working well for all that might have it.. is it a great buy for a lower cost PVR with features?
Any comments on this unit appreciated.

It is a single tuner satellite receiver so although you can record TV1 and TV2 at the same time, you can't record TV1 and TV3 at the same time with it. If you want a PVR for Freeview it's much easier to get one with an internal hard drive and two tuners like this one with Freeview approval (and restrictions)

the great thing with the linked s7090 is you can copy the recordings to usb drive.  They are in mp4 format.  Really like that feature

Thank you for the comments, though maybe none/few are buying the xcruiser it seems..
Was really looking at the preferred $200 or less units available as I have a couple existing external powered usb drives.
Certainly, if I did not have drives, then your suggestion makes good sense.
