And that signals another station/content provider about to launch?

Maybe they are going to make the Mediaworks mux less crowded. It's horrible at the moment.

Or could it mean that there will be more HD content? HD Prime would make me very happy.

I've always wondered if Sky keep Prime in SD to encourage people to come to them for their "HD" content.

I am pretty sure your theory is true. But what it has meant that all of Prime's sporting events have been in horrible SD. London and Socchi have looked worse than Beijing - as TVNZ showed Beijing in HD.

That doesn't really make sense though, because even if you have MySky and HD Ticket (another gripe - why should we have to pay extra in this day and age to get HD???), Prime is still not in HD.

Prime isn't HD, but it is all content that Sky controls on their premium channels

They want you to think:

"goshdarn, this SD content sucks, I wish Icould get it in HD!"

"But I can!! If In sign up with Sky, and sign up for everything, I'll get the HBO stuff on Soho, and the rugby on Sky Sport, everything HD and before those losers on the basic package."

RSM licence shows CH35 from Waiatarua belonging to World TV

I think that they will restack Auckland in a wee while, as RSM are showing DTV35 being allocated to TVNZ across the rest of the country and it would align world TV into a nationwide set as well

There was some discussion here late last year about the possibility of Prime going HD. I seem to recall a link to a news article where an exec hinted towards it happening this year.

You might find that article if you try Googling it.

Just appears to be a carrier at present. Can't see any DVB PIDs on the frequency but the signal strength looks good.
