Hello all,

I'm having some trouble trying to operate a Digistar Freeview box via Universal Remote. I can't seem to get the freeview box to respond to my remote at all.

Universal Remote

  • Brand: One For All
  • Model: OFA Essence 2 Device (7120 R00) aka URC7120
  • Works fine with my TV (Panasonic TH-L32C30Z)
Digistar Box

  • Model: DSS-811UB
What I've tried

  • Using random remote codes found online (e.g. Remotec.com)
  • Sent an email to One for all (awaiting response)
  • Sleep on it and try it again in the morning
Any help or advice is greatly appreciated!

Got a response from OFA support NZ (quite promptly, IMO!):

After completeing a comprehensive search with-in the international and local data bases, it seems we do not have a code for your device. If you purchased your One For All remote in the last 12 months, simply take your remote and receipt back to the place of purchase for a full refund.
The best option regarding your lost/faulty Digistar remote will be to contact Digistar for an original replacement.

So yeah...I'm out of luck in regards to using my universal remote. Got the box second-hand so I'll get a replacement remote from Digistar. Thanks to any and all that read my OP. Hope this info helps someone else, one day.

Cheers.

I've also found OFA support to be excellent. I have a URC-6440 remote from them which is really great.

I got a replacement remote from the trader I bought my Digistar STB from. $30 but still cheaper than a new box
