Hi,
I am unsure which TV tuner has worked for New Zealand. For record the programes to the hard drive, in 1080i quality. It needs to be a USB one. Any idea which good work?

turb: Are you saying you need a USB tuner? Is that because you are using a laptop?
davidcole: Any DVB-T tuner sold in NZ should work without problems. The tuner doesn't do a lot to be honest. Most of the hard work is done in the software on the computer.

So all DVB-T can Support the recording up to 1080i recording? And does it need special areal or is a normal Tv one good?

Yes to both...just requires a standard UHF aerial connection (the same used by a freeview HD capable TV).
Essentially all the tuner does is take what is transmitted and writes it to disk. It's the computer that has to do all the hard work to device the video and audio streams for playback.

turb: The tuner will probably come with some software do do that for you.
What OS are you using?
