Is anyone else seeing a white line across the bottom of the screen on Four?

It started recently, and I get it 99% of the time now. It does disappear occasionally for a short time.

I'm using MediaPortal and ARGUS TV.

I see it on hdmi when the tv is not cropping. since samsung removed the non cropping mode from the dvb tuner in an update ages back I havent seen anything like that on off air with the inbuilt tuner, but I hate the idea I am throwing pixels away.

Same issue on my Panasonic plasma - I dont enable cropping either - dont like throwing away picture - but would happily throw that white line away!

Yep if you enable over-scan again, it hides it. Less than ideal to need to swap in/out. Hello bright white burn if you dont

I found the mediaworks email address and sent them an email.
I think some TVs have overscan enabled by default - they wouldnt see the problem - I suspect the Panasonics didnt or dont have it enabled.

Agreed - I dont like the idea of chucking part of the picture away and upscaling what is left - kind defeats the purpose of HD.
Pretty sure it was enabled by default on my TV - it is coming up to 5 years old though..

So should dot crawl on modern music videos which come up on c4 heaps.

and framerate conversion to a bastard 50hz shouldn't be needed for digital either.

All TVs have overscan enabled by default except some models will disable it when given 1080p over HDMI.

Did Samsung really disable disabling overscan when using the Freeview tuner?

It seems to be multiple white lines coming and going, sometimes with the actual picture visible between them.
