hi,

i'm having trouble receiving all channels on freeview,i'm thinking its the lnb settings causing me these problems

i'm using vdr on openelec

when i scan with w_scan for channels with the vdr default settings i get around 60 sky channels and tv2,if i change the default lnb settings to 10750/10750 i get some freeview channels but not tv2

i'm only interested in the freeview channels as i'm not a sky subscriber

i've tried editing the channels.conf file but with no success

these are the defaults
LnbFrequHi = 10600 LnbFrequLo = 9749 LnbSLOF = 10750
attached is a picture of my lnb

what settings should i be using?

edited to describe,

it says
freq 11.7-12.75ghz
lo 10.75ghz
nf 0.3db

cheers
martin

Can't quite see from the photo but it looks like 10.75GHz so use 10750 for both low and high frequency

iv'e tried that and it never finds all the channels,so i'm guessing the problem must lie elsewhere

i was running nextpvr in xbmc under windows and all was good,i decided to update nextpvr and broke everything!anyway, days of trying to fix with no results led me to give openelec a go, i had no luck with tvheadend and partial success with vdr-i'm ready for giving up on it and buying a stb!

cheers for the help

It helps if you scan the correct transponder frequencies and associated parameters.

Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.

I see you've edited it so yep 10750 for both high and low. Try setting the setting the switch frequency (lnbslof) higher at 15000 and see what happens - that should force it to not try and switch between high and low given you have a single lof Lnb.

iv'e just read through the w_scan documentation and theres no mention of how to search individual transponders.

Edit channels.conf and remove the Sky transponders maybe.
