Another Dish product bites the dust !  Our third :(

When plugged in, the red light comes on very briefly then turns to green and sort of flashes.  Nothing shows on the display, no output and On/Off switch has no effect.  I guess it's well beyond any home repair ?

Is there much around we could replace it with (but not another Dish) ?  Need composite or component out as it feeds a DVD Recorder connected to
a non-HD  TV.
