Hi,

I have recently brought a new Samsung TV with the in-built freeview tuner. After not having much luck getting a signal from the dish even though it is there and working, I read a few posts and changed some of the settings for the LNB.
This managed to get only a few of the channels available. I have tried adjusting other options(e.g., set 22 kHz to off) but I don't seem to be getting any better results.
Is there anything else I can try. Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers

Most built in tuners are for terrestrial broadcast and require a UHF aerial.

If he's got a few channels it would stand to reason his has a DVB-S tuner, which is becoming more and more common.

If the dish hasnt been used in a long time, chances are its just a stuffed LNB or it has moved off target. Get an installer in to tweek it. What quality are you seeing on the ones that work? I only had a brief play with an LG that had sat built in and was connected to a dish so dont really know what to expect on a samsung unfortunatly.

when you select Broadcasting menu did you choose Satellite or Freeview Satellite.  On my Samsung choosing Satellite wouldnt get all channels straight off.  Choosing Freeview Satellite it all worked well for the freeview channels

I also bought a new Samsung TV, and took the sat dish plug out of the sky box and put it in the TV and cant get any channels at all...
If anyone gets this going then please tell me what settings I need to change.

If the dish was working fine (and it sounds like it is) and you have a net connection to your tv

Call samsung on 0800 SAMSUNG (0800 726 786) and they can remote in (scary I know)

Was not aware of that, thank you. That is good from Samsung

I have Panasonic so would not have noticed

Check settings in your Sky box and set TV the same.

Thanks for all the advice. I am experiencing the same issue as the user Bee so I am confident the dish is working. I will try using the sky settings and if that fails go through Samsung direct.
